Bowen Island Jervis Bay

Bowen Island is a little island, only 1.1km long, lying 250m off the Behweree Peninsula at the entrance of Jervis Bay.  It is off limits to visitors but is home to a little penguin colony which has approximately 5000 breeding pairs!  It is also home to Sooty Oystercatchers and three species of sheartwater; little, wedge-tailed and short-tailed.
